In WSN ,sensor nodes have limitation of energy. So the lifetime of the network is very important.We consider the PEGASIS (Power Efficient GAthering in Sensor Information System).It is an chain-based routing scheme that are proposed for energy consumption of communication in the network.Here the nodes communicate their sensed data to their neighbors and the randomly chosen nodes will take turns in communicating to the Base Station. Objective is to develop a sensing scheduling policy so that the time average utility generated by the sensors is maximized. Then propose a randomized myopic policy, which aims to select a number of sensors with the highest energy levels to perform the sensing task in each slot.
